The Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) is proud to welcome MyCreds | MesCertif – ARUCC, a digital credential wallet for post-secondary learners, as one of its newest members.
MyCreds | MesCertif, developed by the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC), provides learners with a secure platform to access, manage, and share official digital documents such as transcripts, credentials, badges, and other records. The platform is a central player in Canada’s education landscape and is now expanding into broader recognition of learning beyond the traditional post-secondary environment.
“At MyCreds, our core mission is to empower learners by enabling secure, seamless, and trusted credential exchange,” emphasized Jodi Tavares, Executive Director of MyCreds | MesCertif. “As a leading provider in the post-secondary space—now expanding into broader recognition of learning—we recognize that participation in PESC is essential to maintaining interoperability, trust, and innovation in the digital credentialing ecosystem.
Standards are the foundation of a connected, future-ready credentialing environment. By actively engaging with PESC, we ensure that MyCreds remains at the forefront of best practices, fosters collaboration across institutions and industries, and contributes to shaping the evolving landscape of digital credentials. Simply put, we cannot be an effective provider in this space without fully committing to standards and interoperability, and PESC membership is a vital part of that commitment.”
As a PESC member, MyCreds | MesCertif will contribute to the development and implementation of open data standards that support the secure exchange of electronic student records and digital credentials. This collaboration supports both national and global efforts to streamline learner mobility, enhance credential transparency, and build a more interoperable education and workforce ecosystem.
“Canada has been a leader in the wide-spread adoption of PESC standards to support our transcript exchange both intra-provincially and nationally,” said Karen McCredie, PESC Board Member and Executive Director of EducationPlannerBC. “Canadian students are highly mobile, and they rely on each of our organizations to support their mobility as an essential component of our national business model. As MyCreds expands their activities across Canada, participating in PESC will play a key role in maintaining and strengthening the data connections that support our shared goals. It is great to see MyCreds | MesCertif’s commitment to embedding PESC standards in their work.”
