Washington, D.C. – July 1, 2026 – The Postsecondary Electronic Standards Council (PESC) is pleased to announce its Board of Directors and Executive Committee for Fiscal Year 2027. This distinguished group of leaders reflects the breadth of the higher education ecosystem and will guide PESC’s ongoing mission to advance free, open data standards that improve the secure exchange of information across institutions, systems, and borders.

The PESC Board of Directors has elected the following officers to serve on its Executive Committee for Fiscal Year 2027:

PESC welcomes newly elected Board member Hillary Halpern, Senior Director of Program Deployment at the University of Phoenix. Hillary brings extensive experience in higher education technology and program deployment, further strengthening a Board that represents institutions, technology providers, nonprofits, and national associations throughout the United States and Canada.
Joining the Board from Canada is Jodi Tavares, Executive Director of MyCreds® | MesCertif at the Association of Registrars of the Universities and Colleges of Canada (ARUCC). A recognized leader in digital credentials and interoperability, Jodi brings extensive experience advancing trusted credential exchange and learner mobility across the postsecondary sector. Jodi succeeds Karen McCredie, Executive Director of EducationPlannerBC, whose three years of dedicated service on the PESC Board helped strengthen collaboration across the Canadian and U.S. higher education communities. PESC thanks Karen for her expertise and lasting contributions to advancing interoperability throughout the postsecondary education ecosystem and wishes her continued success.

PESC also extends its sincere gratitude to Monterey Sims, Director of Admissions and Evaluation at the University of Phoenix, who has retired from the PESC Board of Directors after six years of dedicated service. Most recently serving as PESC Board Chair, Monterey provided thoughtful leadership and a steadfast commitment to the organization during a period of continued growth and innovation. Her guidance helped shape PESC’s strategic direction, strengthen its community, and advance its mission. While she is concluding her Board service, she remains a valued member of the PESC community and will continue to contribute to its work.
