The Data Privacy and Protection Task Force is an open forum in which data and data-related topics affected by privacy and protection laws are discussed; and activities including development and maintenance of external file formats and PESC APPROVED STANDARDS are recommended to PESC for adoption.

Within PESC, the Task Force is the authoritative group that oversees alignment with data privacy and protection regulations for PESC Approved Standards.

The Data Privacy and Protection Task Force was founded at the Fall 2018 Data Summit by PESC Members.
