EdExchange is an open-source data exchange platform (aPaaS/PaaS), that enables the electronic exchange of standards-based data and digital documents. Designed with open web services architecture, EdExchange provides a secure connection between users on a peer-to-peer network.
The foundation of the service is a directory server that lists institutions, service providers and others that can exchange data electronically. The server itemizes the technical capacity of each, which document types are supported electronically and additional identifier data.
To exchange data, users then connect directly with the respective recipient.
EdExchange does not limit types of data and digital documents to be exchanged.
EdExchange is not a database and does not store digital documents or data.
EdExchange compliments
previously established protocols.
Choose your connection
Whether institutions connect directly or use a third-party service provider, EdExchange serves both, providing data exchange services for all educational needs.
